Michael J Fox Foundation's Scientific Publications: Enhancing Knowledge Management
The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) is at the forefront of Parkinson’s disease research. They wanted to streamline information and enhance their research capabilities through their Scientific Publications Project - a research-centered knowledge hub. The goal: to organize extensive Parkinson’s research data and to improve knowledge management. Here's what we did:
- Loaded large datasets in batches for efficient data management
- Initially fetched and stored data to create a reliable database
- Employed incremental loading through batch processes to keep data updated
- Integrated auto-suggest filters for authors and journals, improving search functionality
- Enhanced user experience by displaying relevant records based on user input
- Removed dependency on exhaustive dropdown lists for smoother navigation
